Meet the Team: Gustavo A. Ramirez, Jr., Vice President

What do you do, when you aren’t reclaiming wildlife?

I enjoyed classic cars from a young age and made a career of it. I preserve and restore vintage cars specifically Volkswagens and Porsches. I love Miami and how busy life can be here. I am someone who thrives off being active and social. I joined a group of friends to invest in opening a brewery called Beat Culture. Its only logical I’d combine the two. I spend quite a bit of my time and effort in helping the local car community grow by curating events at the brewery. I also enjoy to travel and appreciate all the adventures Yvette plans for us.

How long have you been interested in helping animals?

Since I met Yvette 3.5 years ago. But I’ve always been open to helping animals when in need and maybe just didn’t know how to.

What’s your favorite animal and why?

Elephant, they are amazing. They work together in herds and family units, and of all the animals out there they are the ones that are really not to be messed with.

What’s one animal fact you’ve learned on your most recent animal encounter?

Giraffe neck is too short to reach the ground.

What’s your spirit animal?

Maurice the hormone monster.

What’s an interesting fact about you that not many people know?

Most people know I love music but most don’t know that I used to play the drums.

What’s your guilty pleasure (PG, of course)?

I always have to have some kind of entertainment, whether music or tv.

Favorite animal movie?

Finding Nemo! The characters are funny. .

Next item you plan to cross off your bucket list.

Travel up the east coast of the United States in a classic car.

Next big trip.

Argentina at the end of the week.
